Why On-Site X-Ray Services Matter

When something hurts or a symptom lingers, waiting days for imaging is stressful. On-site X-ray services change that. Because our diagnostic imaging lives under the same roof as your primary care, your provider can order an X-ray, review it, and talk through the results with you, often in a single visit. That means fewer trips, faster answers, and a care team that sees the whole picture instead of a scan in isolation. Having X-ray and primary care together in one medical home also keeps your records connected, so every image becomes part of your ongoing story rather than a loose file at an outside imaging center.

Fast, Convenient X-Ray Imaging in Little Rock

Life does not pause for a sprain or a chest cold, and neither should your care. Our same-day X-ray availability means you can often be seen, imaged, and reassured without ever leaving the building. Our modern digital X-ray equipment [equipment brand/model placeholder] captures crisp images in seconds using very low radiation doses, and because everything is digital, there is no waiting on film to develop. For most patients, that translates to a same-day conversation about what the images show and what comes next. It is diagnostic imaging built around your day, delivered by people who treat you like a neighbor, because in Little Rock, you are one.

Our X-Ray Services

River City Medical Group provides on-site X-ray and diagnostic imaging for patients of all ages. Our licensed Little Rock imaging services include:

Chest X-ray

For coughs, congestion, pneumonia, and breathing concerns

Spine X-ray

For back and neck pain evaluation

Extremity X-ray

Hands, wrists, arms, elbows, feet, ankles, legs, and knees, for fractures, sprains, and injuries

Digital X-ray for chronic joint conditions

Tracking arthritis in the extremities and spine

Skull & Sinus X-ray

For chronic sinus and facial pain concerns

Our on-site X-ray is performed by a state-licensed Limited Scope technologist and covers the chest, extremities, skull and sinuses, and spine. If you need imaging outside this scope, your provider will coordinate a referral to a trusted imaging partner, so you always leave with a clear next step.

When You May Need an X-Ray

Your provider may recommend an X-ray to diagnose an injury or get to the bottom of a symptom. As part of your primary care, we commonly use on-site diagnostic imaging to evaluate:

  • Suspected broken bones, fractures, and dislocations in the arms, legs, and spine
  • Sprains, strains, and sports or fall injuries
  • Persistent cough, chest pain, or shortness of breath
  • Pneumonia, bronchitis, and other lung concerns
  • Back, neck, and joint pain
  • Arthritis and other chronic bone or joint conditions
  • Chronic sinus or facial pain

If your X-ray reveals something that needs a specialist, your primary care team coordinates the referral and stays involved, so you are never navigating the next step alone.

What to Expect During Your X-Ray

We want your visit to feel simple and stress-free. When you arrive at our Little Rock clinic, a friendly technologist will explain each step before you begin. Most X-ray exams take only a few minutes: you will be positioned comfortably, asked to hold still for a moment, and that is it, no needles and no discomfort. Our digital X-ray uses a very low dose of radiation, and we take care to image only what is needed. Because our imaging services are digital, your provider can view the results quickly and, in most cases, discuss them with you the same day.

To make your X-ray visit smooth, please wear comfortable clothing without metal zippers or snaps near the area being imaged, and let us know if you are or may be pregnant.

Is an X-ray safe? How much radiation is involved?

X-rays are very safe. Our digital X-ray uses a low dose of radiation, often comparable to a few days of natural background exposure, and we image only the area your provider needs. If you are or may be pregnant, please tell us so we can take extra precautions.

Our on-site X-ray covers the chest, extremities (arms, legs, hands, and feet), skull and sinuses, and spine. If you need imaging outside this scope, your provider will coordinate a referral to a trusted imaging partner.

In most cases your River City Medical Group provider will order the X-ray during your visit, so no outside referral is needed. If another doctor has requested imaging, call our Little Rock office at 501-508-6888 and we will help coordinate it.

Because our imaging is digital and on-site, your primary care provider can usually review your X-ray and discuss the results with you the same day, often during the same visit.

We accept most major insurance plans and offer transparent self-pay pricing. Costs vary by exam and coverage, so call our Little Rock team and we will verify your benefits before your appointment.
